Software engineer building hybrid search and distributed systems on GCP, from architecture to operations.

Experience

Brack Alltron AG

Nov 2022 – present

Software Engineer, Fullstack Search

  • Led the design and implementation of the hybrid search solution, integrating semantic search (embeddings) with lexical retrieval from architecture to deployment: +10.7% CTR and +2.6% conversion rate.
  • Key contributor to the search solution powering two of Switzerland’s leading e-commerce platforms; owned the full-stack lifecycle including GCP infrastructure, data ingestion, business logic, monitoring and operations.
  • Created automated on-call using coding agents, from initial triage to first response.
  • Eliminated inefficiencies across the stack by identifying performance gaps and making the right trade-offs, significantly reducing latencies, memory usage, computation times and cost.
  • Standardized a Go development template focused on telemetry and CI/CD, reducing build and deployment cycles to minutes from local testing to production.
  • Delivered solutions across Search, Pricing, Inventory, Recommendations, Chatbots and DWH.

Zurich Cantonal Bank

Oct 2021 – Oct 2022

DevOps Engineer, Fund management & pension provision

  • ETL pipelines, DWH and fund management applications for metrics calculations across 200+ billion CHF AUM.
  • Designed and implemented reporting for Swiss collective investment schemes to meet new FINMA data collection requirements, consolidating disparate sources into a centralized schema.
  • Contributed to a high-priority migration of the risk metrics stack from legacy SAS to SAS DI, refactoring risk calculation logic and validating data integrity.
